KL’s Changkat Bukit Bintang is absolutely packed with bars, clubs and pubs, so for a first-time visitor (over even a KL veteran) it can certainly be confusing which joint to spend your hard-earned ringitt at. Let me take away that confusion by sharing Nagaba with you, a three-level venue that is my favorite joint on the street. The club is probably the biggest on Changkat Bukit Bintang and always draws a good crowd, although Friday & Saturday night are (obviously) the most busy.
Nagaba’s music is particularly good, and you will certainly be well catered for if you’re a fan of House, Techno or Drum & Bass. The venue does draw some famous local and international DJs on a regular basis so you may be surprised with who’s behind the decks when you visit. On one occasion the DJ went for a bathroom break so I sneakily popped up and tried to play some Rick Astley, but I was caught by the bouncer and escorted out of the premises. Regardless, Nagaba is a fun place to dance and to drink. I like the fact that they aren’t super strict on dress code like most other KL clubs – I actually got away with wearing shorts here once!
The venue has only been around since late-2013 and is thus one of the newer CBB clubs going around, but don’t let the lack of history fool you – Nagaba is well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. Just don’t follow my lead and try and get up to the DJ’s podium 🙂

Nagaba is open every night of the week until 1am, and until 3am on Friday/Saturday.
